Court allows five-day strike by German train drivers to continue

The Labour Court in Frankfurt ruled that a strike launched by the German Train Drivers’ Union (GDL) can continue, rejecting an emergency injunction filed by rail operator Deutsche Bahn. GDL members began their third strike in a month early Thursday morning, and the industrial action is scheduled to last five days. Freight drivers have been on strike since Wednesday afternoon.
