Former German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder has said he is irritated by a decision by carmaker Volkswagen to remove currywurst, a popular sausage dish, from the canteen menu at VW’s headquarters in the northern German city of Wolfsburg. “If I were still on the supervisory board of #VW, there would have been no such thing,” Schroeder wrote in a post on the social platform LinkedIn on Tuesday. “A vegetarian diet is good, and I do it myself in phases.
