Germany’s Struff beats top seed Medvedev in Halle

Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff stunned top seed Daniil Medvedev 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 at the Wimbledon tune-up event in Halle on Tuesday. Struff clinched a place in the last 16 on his third match point in 1 hour 33 minutes against world number two Medvedev, and next faces American qualifier Marcos Giron at the grass-court event.
