He is considered America’s most famous architect, and his prairie style and “organic architecture” are widespread and popular to this day. Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is an institution, and his works continue to be a major draw for tourists, not least in Chicago and the surrounding area. In Oak Park, now a suburb on the west side of the largest city in the US state of Illinois, Wright built his Home and Studio, which is now operated as a museum.
