New protests across France against stricter Covid measures

Resentment about stricter Covid-19 rules in France drove many people onto the streets for the fifth weekend in a row. Nearly 215,000 people attended rallies throughout the country on Saturday, the Interior Ministry said. Eleven people were arrested at the largely peaceful protests. Earlier in the day, the BFMTV channel showed many national flags waving above the crowd in Paris, as well as the rainbow flag.
