Oklahoma congressman pulls plug on freelance Afghanistan chopper rescue mission

An Oklahoma congressman Wednesday scrapped his freelance effort to pluck a family out of turbulent Afghanistan after the U.S. warned against the “extremely dangerous” planned helicopter mission. Republican Rep.
