Sonos doubles down on 3D sound with new Beam sounbar

Sonos, the hi-fi company known for its connected wireless speakers, is expanding further into room-filling 3D audio with a new version of its Beam soundbar that can also reproduce cinematic 3D sound effects in the Dolby Atmos format for films. The Beam, Sonos’ smaller and cheaper soundbar, has been equipped with a more powerful processor than its predecessor, while the front design has also been changed.
