Sydney to clamp down further after record 466 daily Covid-19 cases

Australia’s Sydney announced another daily record of coronavirus cases on Saturday alongside plans to clamp down on its lockdown measures. Australia’s most populous state of New South Wales registered a record 466 new locally transmitted cases in its latest 24-hour figures. Most cases were in Sydney, the state’s capital. At least 60 were infectious in the community, State Premier Gladys Berejiklian said. There were four deaths overnight, Berejiklian said.
