Too much rain: Start of Belgian GP pushed back

The start of the Belgian Formula One Grand Prix has been pushed back indefinitely owing to rain and a very wet track at Spa-Franchorchamps. The drivers started the formation lap behind the safety car 25 minutes late but officials then decided to stop the start procedure after another lap as everyone returned to the pits. “I really can’t see anything behind,” world champion Lewis Hamilton said via team radio and McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo spoke of “a right call.” Pole sitter Max Verstappen said that “it’s really not that bad” but he however would have no one in front of him causing spray.
