US billionaire and Tesla boss Elon Musk has accused Twitter of breaching the terms of his proposed multibillion-dollar takeover deal for the social media platform, in an apparent effort to give himself an easy exit from the controversial bid. “Twitter has, in fact, refused to provide the information that Mr Musk has repeatedly requested since May 9, 2022, to facilitate his evaluation of spam and fake accounts on the company’s platform,” an open letter to Twitter’s chief lawyer Vijaya Gadde released by Musk’s lawyers on Monday read.
