Stocks and bond yields slip on U.S.-China tensions

By Tom Wilson LONDON (Reuters) – Stocks slipped and bond yields fell on Tuesday on worries a visit by U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan would further harm relations between China and the United States. Investors sought safer assets after China threatened repercussions if Pelosi visited the self-ruled island, which Beijing claims as its territory.
