Angry crowds attack al-Assad supporters voting abroad in Beirut

Crowds of angry Lebanese attacked buses and smashed the windows of cars carrying supporters of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to the Syrian embassy in Beirut to cast their vote abroad in the upcoming presidential election. Vehicles loaded with Syrians carrying pictures of al-Assad and waving the Syrian flag had been heading towards the embassy on the outskirts of Beirut for the one-day vote.
