Biden meets Floyd’s family on anniversary, sees ‘inflection point’

US President Joe Biden met with relatives of George Floyd on the one-year anniversary of his death on Tuesday as protests for racial equality were held across the globe. The White House said Vice President Kamala Harris, the first black woman to hold the office, also attended the hour-long meeting behind closed doors in Washington. African-American Floyd was killed when white police officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on his neck in Minneapolis for nine minutes.
