Bochum without first-choice keeper Riemann at Augsburg

Bochum will travel to Augsburg for Saturday’s Bundesliga match without first-choice keeper Manuel Riemann, a week after he performed brilliantly in the 2-1 win over Freiburg. “That is naturally a bitter absence. But it makes no sense [to take him], he is not 100 per cent,” Bochum coach Thomas Reis said Thursday. Michael Esser will deputize between the posts. “We can also rely on him 100 per cent,” said Reis. Esser already played in the German Cup against Augsburg though was substituted off for Riemann ahead of a penalty shoot-out – which Bochum won.
