Britain’s Tower of London reveals name of new baby raven: Branwen

Britain’s Tower of London has revealed the name of its new baby raven. The bird, which lives inside the historic British landmark, has been named Branwen “after the deity from Celtic mythology, whose name translates as ‘Blessed Raven,'” a spokesperson for the tower said in a tweet on Wednesday. The name was chosen after a vote by the public. The raven was born with three other siblings. Two were sent off to live in the countryside while the third was also kept in the tower and was named Edgar, after the poet Edgar Allen Poe, by the tower’s ravenmaster.
