British duo claim historic Olympic swim 1-2, McKeown sets record

Tom Dean and Duncan Scott won gold and silver in the 200 metres freestyle at the Tokyo Games on Tuesday in a first British Olympic swimming one-two in 113 years while Australia’s Kaylee McKeown won the 100m backstroke in an Olympic record. American 17-year-old Lydia Jacoby shocked 2016 champion Lilly King to win gold in the women’s 100m breaststroke, while the Russian Olympic committee (ROC) took gold and silver in the 100m backstroke.
