Brussels protest against Covid measures draws 3,500 and fresh clashes

A protest against mandatory Covid-19 vaccination and containment measures drew crowds of thousands and once again turned violent in the Belgian capital on Sunday. Some 3,500 people took part and 55 people were detained, local police spokesperson Ilse Van De Keere told dpa. The organizers themselves gave an estimate of 50,000 participants, Belga news agency reported.
