Covid-19 infections ease in Thailand ahead of opening

Thailand recorded fewer than 8,000 new infections within 24 hours for the first time in months on Tuesday, just a few days before its planned re-opening to international tourism. Authorities reported 7,706 new cases – the lowest number since July 8. They reported 66 deaths in the latest daily numbers. Thailand plans to welcome people travelling by air from 46 countries with low coronavirus numbers from November 1. Germany, Austria and other EU countries as well as the United States, Chile, the United Arab Emirates and Bhutan are on the list of countries published by the Thai Foreign Ministry. …
