Cyclist Froome to start Tour de France after two-year absence

Four-time champion Chris Froome will return to the Tour de France after missing the last two editions with injury. His team Israel Start-Up Nation nominated the veteran Briton on Tuesday for the famed race. “After two years away from the Tour de France I can’t wait to get back,” the 36-year-old cyclist was quoted on a statement on Tuesday. “It has been an arduous journey since my crash at the Criterium du Dauphine in 2019, but this has been one of my biggest motivations.” Froome had a high-speed crash into a wall while training for the fourth stage of the tune-up race for the 2019 Tour.
