De Bruyne and Witsel to miss Belgium’s opening game at Euros

Belgium midfielder Kevin De Bruyne will miss his side’s opening Euro game against Russia, the team said on Friday. De Bruyne suffered multiple facial fractures in Champions League final on May 29, when his Manchester City team was defeated 1-0 by Chelsea, and had to undergo surgery. Fellow midfielder Axel Witsel has also not travelled to St Petersburg for Saturday’s game, the Belgium team said on Twitter.
