Despite disagreements, Scholz attempts to keep Poland visit positive

During his inaugural visit to Poland on Sunday, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz reaffirmed Germany’s desire to partner with its neighbour despite wide-ranging issues on which the two countries profoundly disagree. With that in mind, Scholz said at a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, the German government hoped for progress in the dispute between the EU and Poland over the rule of law. “Europe is a community of values and law.
