The American fashion designer Halston was the man behind Jacqueline Kennedy’s iconic pillbox hat, he created clothes for stars like Lauren Bacall and Liza Minnelli, partied in New York nightclub “Studio 54” with Bianca Jagger and Andy Warhol and helped shape the look of the disco era. He died in 1990 in San Francisco at the age of 57. Since then, his free-flowing designs, for example in the synthetic fabric Ultrasuede, have almost been forgotten. His name is less known to people today than that of other fashion icons like Cristobal Balenciaga, Hubert de Givenchy, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein….
