First biathlon World Cup win for Elvira Oeberg, sister Hanna third

Sweden’s Elvira Oeberg made the most of her fast skiing to claim a first career victory in the biathlon World Cup on Saturday, and her more famous sister Hanna also climbed the podium. Elvira Oeberg, 22, could afford two penalty laps as she dominated a 10-kilometres pursuit in Annecy-Le Grand Bornand, France, in 29 minutes 27 seconds. Julia Simon delighted the huge French home crowd by placing second with one missed target, 4.2 seconds back.
