Gaza rockets, clashes in Arab-majority areas put Israel on edge

Ongoing rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip and confrontations between Arab Israelis and security forces had Israel on edge on Saturday as the conflict showed no signs of abating. Saturday marks Nakba Day, also known as the Palestinian catastrophe, which remembers the mass displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians after the founding of the state of Israel in 1948. It could mean renewed violence later Saturday, especially as this year it falls on the third day of Eid al-Fitr, the end of Ramadan.
