German ice hockey team prepares for Olympics without NHL stars

Germany men’s ice hockey coach Toni Soederholm is ready to alter his plans if NHL stars end up missing February’s Beijing Winter Olympics. The NHL wanted to break for the Beijing Games for the first time since 2014. The North American league can still change the decision before January 10, however. Given the precarious NHL situation because of the coronavirus pandemic, a reversal could be imminent.
