German town sets an example against coronavirus protests

Institutions and associations in a central German town that has at times seen violent protests against the state’s anti-coronavirus measures have jointly sent out a signal against the protesters. Cardboard figures labelled with names were set up in the town of Greiz in the eastern part of the state of Thuringia to represent participants in an anti-protest event dubbed “Greiz turns up the heat.” The participants did not want to take to the streets themselves in order to keep the risk of infection low.
