At least seven civilians, all from the same family, were killed on Thursday in Syrian government shelling on north-western Syria, a monitor group said. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the shelling targeted the village of Ibleen in the southern countryside of Idlib. It added that among the killed were four children. Rami Abdel Rahman head of the Observatory told dpa that the wounded included the father, grandfather and uncle of the dead family. In recent weeks, government shelling has intensified on Idlib, the last rebel stronghold in Syria.
