Improved Nintendo Switch promises brighter colours with OLED screen

Nintendo is rolling out an improved version of its popular Switch that promises vivid colours, more memory and better sound this October, in an attempt to ride out the pandemic boom in video gaming. The screen will not only gain about 0.8 inches, to span 7 inches in total, but it will also use OLED technology, which allows for higher contrast images compared to the traditional LCD panels. Work has also been done on the housing: The stand for Tabletop mode will be wider, and the screen bezel will be somewhat narrower.
