Leverkusen stunned 2-1 by second-tier Karlsruhe in German Cup

Bayer Leverkusen suffered another setback on Wednesday when they crashed out of the German Cup with a 2-1 home defeat against second-division Karlsruhe. The visitors had a dream start from Lucas Cueto’s fifth-minute tap-in. Leverkusen, who won the cup in 1993 and were finalists last year, levelled in the 54th when Jeremie Frimpong fired into the top left corner.
