Mainz coach Bo Svensson has warned of too high expectations next season after the club avoided Bundesliga relegation with a strong second half of the past campaign. Mainz were second-last at the halfway mark with seven points, but then garnered 32 more to finish 12th. They were the fifth best team in the second half of the campaign under Svensson who was appointed in January.
