Nets’ Green says not playing almost as painful as foot injury; Harden ruled out but ‘progressing nicely’

NEW YORK — You’ve probably never strained the plantar fascia in either of your feet. Nets veteran forward Jeff Green described the painful foot injury Wednesday. “A cramp?” he said. “I wish it was like a cramp.” Green strained the plantar fascia in his left foot in Game 2 of the Nets’ first-round playoff series against the Celtics. He has not returned to the floor and has yet to practice.
