Nobel laureates celebrate vital role of journalism ahead of ceremony

The joint winners of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize, journalists Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov, spoke in Oslo on Thursday of the dangers facing journalism in an era of fake news, disinformation and persecution. “I’m fully aware that this prize is for the whole journalist community.
