Pope Francis has pledged his prayers following the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise. “The Holy Father expresses his sadness and condemns all forms of violence as a means of resolving crises and conflicts,” a telegram signed by the Vatican’s informal number two, Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin, said on Thursday. “He wishes for the dear Haitian people a future of fraternal harmony, solidarity and prosperity.
