Protesters rally for second day on Lebanon’s border with Israel

Dozens of Palestinian and Lebanese people on Saturday protested for the second day in a row near Lebanon’s border with Israel in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem, according to witnesses. Amid heavy security by the Lebanese army, the demonstrators, some of them loyalists of Lebanon’s pro-Iran Hezbollah movement, waved the Palestinian flags. Some protesters chanted: “We are the martyrs of Palestine,” as they stood in the area of Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon, facing the area of Avivim in northern Israel.
