Renewed protests, stones thrown after inspection of Berlin squat

Renewed protests broke out in Berlin on Thursday evening after two days of clashes with police over a fire safety inspection of a house squatted by left-wing radicals. Up to 2,000 people marched through the district of Friedrichshain, in a show of solidarity with those squatting the house. Some protesters threw stones and bottles at the police, according to a dpa reporter on the scene. Others set off smoke bombs and fireworks.
