Rotterdam opens world’s first publicly viewable depot for museum art

The Dutch port city of Rotterdam has a new eye-catching attraction: The depot of the Boijmans Van Beuningen art museum is the latest addition to the city’s spectacular skyline. A fully mirrored exterior surrounds a round building housing the world’s first museum storage facility that is also fully accessible to visitors. The precious collection of the Museum Boijmans comprises some 151,000 works spanning seven centuries.
