The Aegean goes electric: Carmakers help Greek islands to go green

Car manufacturers Volkswagen and Citroen are helping two sunny Greek islands to go green by cutting carbon emissions and focussing on sustainability. Citroen is one of the partners for the latest project on Chalki in the Dodecanese archipelago in the Aegean Sea. It comes after Volkswagen earlier signed a pioneering deal with the Greek government to replace around 1,500 polluting cars on Astypalaia island with electric vehicles, scooters and bikes.
