Tougher rules to enter Austria to halt spread of Omicron

Austria is tightening its entry regulations to contain the Omicron variant of the coronavirus. According to the Health Ministry, until further notice only people with valid proof of triple vaccination or recovery from Covid-19 are allowed to enter the country. Those who do not have the third booster vaccination must present a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test or they will have to be quarantined immediately after arrival.
