U.S. restricts assistance for Ethiopia over Tigray

By David Shepardson and Daphne Psaledakis WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The United States is imposing restrictions on economic and security assistance to Ethiopia over alleged human rights abuses during the conflict in Tigray region, the U.S. State Department said on Sunday. It will also bar current or former Ethiopian or Eritrean government officials it deems responsible for the crisis.
