Woman rescued after blast wrecks residential building in Belgium

A woman was pulled out of the rubble alive on Friday hours after a powerful explosion destroyed large parts of a residential building in the northern Belgian town of Turnhout, while one person was confirmed dead. The woman was taken to hospital said Turnhout Mayor Paul Van Miert, according to news agency Belga. She had been in contact with rescue workers but could not initially be freed due to serious damage to the building.
