Vodafone plans to cut roughly 1,300 full-time jobs in Germany as part of a restructuring and efficiency drive as growth slumps. The reductions at the telecoms giant will mostly affect management positions and business areas without direct customer contact, Vodafone Deutschland said on Wednesday. At the same time, around 400 new jobs are to be created in “customer-facing” parts of the company, the regional subsidiary of Britain’s Vodafone Group said.
